Hey y’all! How’s it going?
Well I know that in the last post, I said that I don’t normally do TBRs but I did a damn good job with my January TBR. So I thought I’d just continue to keep doing them this year (as long as I keep doing relativity well with them anyway). Anyway, let’s just get into the books that I hope to read this month.
Slayer by Kiersten White
So I have tried reading And I Darken a bunch of times but I just couldn’t get into it. So I’m kind of hesitant to pick this one up. But at the same time it’s in the same world as Buffy and I love me some Buffy so I’m going to give this a try.
Of course, I don’t know if it’s White’s writing style that I don’t like or just the time period of the other book, so I’ll see how I fair with this one. I have no idea what this is about aside from the fact that it’s set in the world of Buffy but I do believe that it follows twins where one of them gets chosen to be the next, and last Slayer but she never even thought she’d be chosen.
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
The next book that I hope to get to in February is Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. This is the sequal to Shadow and Bone and therefore the second book in the Grisha trilogy. I don’t really know what I can say about this book or this trilogy that every one else hasn’t already said.
I’m just really intrigued as to where this story is going to go from here and what is going to happen with Alina. I am just so in love with the world that Bardugo has created with these books and I just love spending time with it.
Lady’s Guide the Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
The next book that I hope to get to this month is The Lady’s Guide. I’m most likely going to be picking up the audiobook since I listened to the Gentleman’s Guide on audio and loved it.
All I know is that this book follows Felicity and that’s the main reason why I can’t wait to pick it up; because Felicity was my favorite character in the Gentleman’s Guide. I’m stoked to see what’s in store for her in her own story. Also I’m going to love being in her head for the period of a novel.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling
Since I started re-reading Harry Potter in December, it’s only natural that I pick up Goblet of Fire sometime this month. Hopefully. We’ll see.
Honestly I don’t remember anything about what happened in the book and I know the movie didn’t do it justice, so it’ll be interesting to be re-reading this book.
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
The last book that I hope to get to this month is the book that I pulled out of my TBR jar, The Cruel Prince.
I’ve had this book for about a year now and I still haven’t gotten around to it. Honestly, I’m been kind of scared because of the hype surrounding it. Truthfully, I’m still kind of scared because of that. Although, I guess now I just need to bite the damn bullet and read the damn thing.
So that’s all the books that I hope to read during February. I guess we’ll see if I manage it. I know that I read a crapton in January but right now we’re already a week into February and I haven’t picked up a book (I’ve been doing a lot of television watching though). So….I don’t know what’s going to happen; but isn’t that the fun of it??
Thanks for reading and I’ll see y’all in the next one!
